Springtime is here!

He said while he took his mitts out of the closet again. It may be spring in Osaka and Kyoto. Tokyo may have the sakura in full bloom, but Sanda had ice covered puddles the other day.

Anyway, I may change this post later to a more detailed description of what occured during the weekend, but for now:

It was Kyoto, it had Raph and Falafely goodness.

Now it’s late and I’m going to bed

Meh, it’s all flowers. Nothing much to say about it. Just look and enjoy.

The only comments I’ll make is that we came to Kyoto too early. We were slightly early according to predictions, but then on thursday temperatures dropped and it started raining delaying the final blossoming which was supposed to happen sunday/monday. So insted of having a 85% Sakura we had 30-50% sakura. And rain . . .
The “More spring photos” link links to pictures with fuller bloom, but no sun. Sunday I’m going to Himeji-jo. THE quintessential Japanese Castle. Moat lined with sakura trees. Should be good.

    Still, it’s dead pretty.

On a different note: I’ve been writing reports, translating reports and doing general writing thingies for a solid month now. It doesn’t do wonders for my usually easy wit in these posts.
